The plan does not cover mechanical or electrical faults, accident damage, structural repairs, major bodywork, rust, corrosion, paint fading, or damage caused by neglect. Full exclusions are detailed in the plan’s Terms and Conditions.

Yes. There is a 30-day waiting period from the plan start date. No services can be authorised or provided during this period.

Yes, in certain cases. You may request to use a repairer of your choice, provided that:

  • Prior written approval is obtained from AutoGuard
  • A quote is submitted and approved in advance
  • The repairer invoices AutoGuard directly for the authorised amount

You may submit one authorised claim every 90 days, subject to plan terms. Each claim has a maximum value of €300 (VAT inclusive). Unused portions of the claim limit do not carry over.

AutoGuard maintenance plans cover minor cosmetic and interior damage that occurs during normal day-to-day vehicle use. This includes issues such as light scratches, small dents, interior trim damage, seat and steering wheel wear, rim damage, and windscreen chip repairs — all within defined size and cost limits.

No. AutoGuard is not an insurance company. We operate as a vehicle maintenance plan administrator. Coverage is provided on a contractual basis under clearly defined plan terms and limits, and does not replace or replicate motor insurance.

Repairs are carried out by independent repair specialists approved or authorised by AutoGuard. AutoGuard does not perform repairs itself and does not operate workshops or body shops.

Yes. All repairs require prior authorisation from AutoGuard. Any work carried out without approval is not covered under the plan. This ensures that the damage is eligible and that cost and frequency limits are respected.
